Excellence of researchers, strict confidentiality, willingness to share ideas are the needed ingredients to fulfill these objectives
Success for the 1st meeting in May 2010 where all grantees from our 1st call for projects participated with the Scientific Advisory Board with Wim Robberecht, it’s president as chairman.
Une réelle communauté s’est formée
The opening session started with Pr Philippe Leboulch presenting the “Recent advances in human hematopoietic gene therapy and food for thoughts in relation to ALS”.
Then by project, the principal investigator and researcher working on the project, presented goals and status of their project including preliminary data. Each presentation was open for discussion. Each participant was asked to keep all data or ideas confidential in order to facilitate open and productive discussion.
This meeting due to the scientific interest of the projects and the quality of debates was thought to be really productive.
