Annual Meeting
One of the primary goals of the Foundation is to encourage and facilitate interaction between research groups involved in ALS research in Europe.

Therefore, to promote such interaction and collaboration, the Foundation will organize and fund an annual meeting of all grantees whose research it currently supports.

Indeed, a condition to be  funded by the Foundation is attendance of the principal investigator at these meetings and his/her presentation of the funded research project including unpublished data. In order to promote and encourage open discussion of unpublished data, the confidential character of these meetings should be strictly adhered to. Strict rules for avoiding conflict interest shall apply on a case by case basis. Grantees that are seen to have broken this confidentiality will not be considered for further funding by the Foundation. Any member of the Scientific Advisory Board that is in receipt of a grant from the Foundation will not be required to present their data at the annual meeting. Presentation of such projects will be delegated to a senior collaborator or colleague in order for the discussion about such projects to be kept open.

The annual two-day meeting of the Foundation grantees will be chaired by the SAB Chairperson, and funded by the Foundation. Each principal investigator will be required to attend for the duration of the whole meeting. It is highly recommended by the Foundation that one additional researcher involved in the project funded by the Foundation will also attend the entire meeting. This meeting is considered a priority for the Foundation to reach its strategic aims.
